Great Watch!
This watch is fantastic. It has lots of options for time and date, the alarm is loud enough, and it is well lit. But best of all is the compass (which is the reason I bought it instead of another). Yes, you have to read the manual and set the declination depending on what part of the world you are in. But once that is done, the compass works very well for "urban crawling" as they put it and turned out to be highly accurate for my needs. I only had to reset it once during a recent two week trip, and that was due to being near a strong magnetic field. Definitely a great purchase! 2008-04-11

nice watch
I gave this to my boyfriend as a graduation gift. It looks nice but I would prefer to replace the Velcro wrist band with something a little nicer. We haven't used the compass yet. 2008-03-26

Nice for the price!
I really wanted a ultra Casio, with the temp, compass, solar and Sofie Monks phone number, but I must must embrace my nature and sometimes just go for the best price and practical use work watch. The compass thing is a bit of a toy, but I'm not dropping two bills on some hubcap I'll never wear. 2008-01-28

Timepiece = Timex
Replacing a watch that was damaged. This watch has become a fixture and will satsfy for years to come. Provides all the necessary features, especially the digital compass and indiglo. 2007-12-04

Great features for the price, but...
I received this watch as a Christmas gift and loved it immediately. It has a great feature set for the price range and had everything I wanted (compass, countdown timer, alarm, Indiglo, water resistant). Unfortunately, the numbers began to fade with exposure to direct sunlight. The more sun, the more fading. When I would go back indoors the watch would return to normal. After a few weeks, the numbers were completely faded within 30 seconds of sunlight exposure and could barely be read after 30 minutes of being indoors. I sent the watch back to Timex and they sent me a replacement (all at their expense). The watch worked fine for about 3 weeks and then started having the same problems, plus the night light stopped working. I obtained a return box and will be sending this one back for another replacement. With so many good reviews here, I'm hoping for a "third time's the charm" situation. 2007-10-24
