Melissa and Doug Food Groups

My granddaughter has a little kitchen and she enjoys serving us so she is very happy with her new food.

My son loves this item. It's great for sharing and pretend play. The wood is a really nice change from plastic.

Gave this to my great niece who will be 2 next month for Christmas and she just loves it. We pretend that we are grocery shopping and she puts them in a soft light carrying bag and carries it over her shoulder. She knows pretty much what each item is already which was surprising. I liked it because of the durability and ease of holding for her hands. Now that she has a kitchen set she is now set up to prepare her meals.

I decided to purchase this wooden food group set after reading several of it's reviews. I was not disappointed! They are sturdy, durable, brightly colored, small enough for little hands, and stand up to lots of toddler abuse. I love Melissa & Doug products and will definitely purchase them again in the future.

This toy is a great educational toy, but because it is made of wood it can be a danger to toddlers who are still into throwing things around and biting things. Some of the pieces could have been better made to look more like the object........the tomato, orange and egg for example just look like coloured shapes.
