Highly accurate, pleasing sonics.
This is a highly accurate system, that yields pleasing audio quality. Sound can be improved by the owner. If you put your hands on the speaker enclosure when the speaker is putting out a lot of bass, you will feel the vibrations. Not good. To improve the sound, use tuning devices on the enclosure, and place the speakers on a vibration sink such as a block of maple wood. If possible, locate the speakers under some kind of canopy that will serve as sounding board. These measures will probably improve the sound of any speakers.

Great Sound
I wish it had separate bass and treble controls, but the sound is still great.

Good & Clear, but annoying light.
These sound very clear and articulate. The bass is a little light- however I may be biased because I own the Klipsch 2.1 super bass model also. I got them on sale for bedroom. Only problem is that a red light stays on when they are off- waste of energy and looks annoying.

Great if you don't want to ugly up a new desk with extra wires/controllers/subwoofer
We bought a nice desk for our office so of course my 2.1 gaming speakers and all their ugly wires and controller had to go.

Operation is pretty simple - power button is also the volume knob, hold down the power button when on until it blinks to adjust the bass and press again.

Overall, ample sound if you choose to go without a subwoofer, and more aesthetically pleasing than Creative GigaWorks. 1/8" aux in is also useful for a second input.

VERY NICE SPEAKERS
In regard to some folks having problems with the mid-range sound, that could be due to adjusting the bass setting too high which would effect the sound of the mid-range. Some folks try to put extra bass where it doesn't belong. I left the setting at the factory default which gives very satisfying bass. There is ample cords supplied, so you can place the speakers anywhere. I put mine on a lower shelf of my computer desk. They sound fine in that location, you can still reach the on/off volume control and that indicator light that bothered some people is out of your line of direct sight. Very nice speakers, good sound, simple controls and a reasonable cost.
