If you are looking for a coffee maker, look no further. Quick to brew and the carafe keeps the coffee hot for hours.

The coffee brewed is good but weak if the suggested amount is used. With the concern of wasted energy I am surprised there is no timer clock and method for starting a brew automatically. Coffee in 3 minutes is misleading because it takes about 10 minutes more to bring cold water up to temperature if the heater element is left off to save energy. Also I wonder about the health safety of leaving cold water in the internal tank and mold forming.
The thermal carafe is designed better than a previous brand carafe we had, for the coffee is fairly hot in the morning after a brew the night before.
The overall construction is solid with stainless steel carafe and heater tank but the outside is too hot to the touch in one area directly under top tank section.

A friend gave us one of these coffee makers for Christmas a few years ago. It has made excellent coffee every day and finally seems to be wearing out. I ordered another for the time the other coffee maker quits working. I like the Bunn method because the water stays hot and makes coffee fast and it's not sitting on a warmer so it doesn't get burnt while you're having your first cup or two. If you want a cup before it quits brewing, simply open the top flap, pour your coffee without drips, and close the flap to finish brewing. The carafe is insulated but it doesn't keep as hot as Thermos. If you like it really hot it's easy to heat in the microwave oven. We neglected to clean the insides of the brewing area of the coffeemaker for years, due to being busy, and when I recently cleaned it, using the brush, there was no residue of any kind. Amazing. I saved a lot of money by checking the Internet. I ordered from Amazon because I got the best price. That is usually the case, so I order a lot from Amazon.com.

This is our second BUNN ThermoFresh Coffee Brewer. After being spoiled for two years at home with the speed of brewing, my husband and I decided to purchase another one to keep in our motorhome; so on crisp autumn morings there would literally be no longer than a 3 minute wait to start sipping piping hot coffee! The unit is pricy but worth every cent in our opinion.
