Garmin nüvi 660 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator

I definitely recommend this little embedded device. I have not reviewed any other devices (Tom Tom's, Navigon's, etc), however, I can say that this little guy has gotten me out of trouble many times. As many people before me, I purchased this item mainly for a trip outside of the US mainland. A wise decision. The re-calculate feature is quick enough so that if I miss an exit or a road there's always a way to try to get back to where I was going to. The Map highlights the road where you should go and you can clearly see this. The sound is loud and clear. Etc, etc.

Initially I was going to give this item 4 stars because the product advertised an FM transmitter which has a lot of "static", and I do not see the use of having such a noisy sound coming out of your stereo when you can be listening to your own music directly with high fidelity. However, I did not really buy this product for that, so therefore the 5 start rating.

I definitely recommend getting a Navigator so that you can enjoy your travels a lot better. The NUVI 660 is certainly a good choice. It has everything you need.

We got this for Christmas, used it only in the car which is parked in the garage, and by September it was totally not working, it can't find the satellites. Sent it in, got a replacement. In less than a year later, the replacement is also having the same problem. Totally useless. This model cost $800! somehow you expect more than a year, don't you?
Contacted their tech support, and for a flat fee of $225 they will repair or replace it. And why do I want to risk ANOTHER bad unit? Time to try their competition.

I am leaving in Seattle area, so it has problems when I drive highways in downtown it just produce some unrelated recommendations. For example it can decide that I drive along highway and it start to recommend me take some turn on nearest intersection. In general it is my first navigator and I am impressed how easy it is driving at night in unknown area. It is cool.

This portable GPS Device is by far one of the best I have so far. Guess the trick lies in having a very good Mapping software to use with it. Overall I should say it is a very good buy for me. No more need to lug and flip through any street directories... steven Lim (RSTN)

It's a nice Navigation System with 4.3 inches screen with voice on streets and alerts. It has all the necessary features including Bluetooth, MP3 player and PIcture viewer and Traffic Status updates. I love this product. It's a right value for your money.
