Iomega Desktop Hard Drive 500 GB Hi-Speed USB 2.0 External Hard Drive - 33654

I read the other reviews before buying, and I got one of the quiet ones. Just remember to reformat it to NTFS before trying to copy things over, especially large files.

Popped it out of the box, encrypted the drive and dumped all my data on it.
During this process the device was completely silent and was warm to the touch... Not hot.
I don't regret purchasing this HD and would recommend it to anyone looking for a 500 GB HD.

I needed to get more storage for my old desktop and was so confused on what to get or even how to use one.
I bought this after reading the customer reviews and have found it to be the perfect external hard drive for anyone to use.
I just plugged it in to the wall, then connected the USB to the computer and it was ready to be used. Can't be any easier than that.
I have backed up my computer and am storing all my picture files on it as well. It is very sturdy and I have had not troubles with it. I have been transporting it amoung several places ( school, work, and home) and it still looks good as new.

I've had this drive for about 4 months now and have never had any of the overheating and noise problem. It's fast and very easy to use. I love that I can plug it into my dvd player and watch movies/Tv shows off of it. The only thing that bothers me about it is the bright blue light on the front when it on. A bit of tape takes care of that though.
