Iomega Desktop Hard Drive 500 GB Hi-Speed USB 2.0 External Hard Drive - 33654

I am using this drive on a Macbook. It works great! Had to format it to Mac, but that was no problem. It is much faster than a similar sized Western Digital external drive I also have.

I bought this hard disk back in April. Been using it with my Mac notebook and it works flawlessly with OS X Leopard and Time Machine. A tad noisy, but not a big deal. Great price and easy to use. Highly recommended.

I bought this because both my laptop and desktop were filled with photos. It is not much bigger then a paperback book, comes with a stand if you want it on its side. I still back up my photos to CD or DVD, but I freed up the space on both my computers and can swap it between both or access through my network. It is quick to pull things up on and since I am pleased with my computers now that they have space I wont have to upgrade them for awhile, buying this hard drive was a cheap fix and all my photos are in one place.

The Iomega 500 GB Hard Drive worked perfectly right out of the box. I was a little concerned when I first got it that there was no instructions in the box. Instructions were just not needed. I plugged it into my Dell 8400 USB port and it immediately fired up and appeared as a new drive. I have used it for about a month now and have had no problems at all. Good drive for the price.

Product arrived in good time and was well packaged. All you do is take it out of the box and plug it in and you're ready to go! What a relief to have a dependable external hard drive to back up my files and not worry about losing them again! I would highly recommend this product.
