BlueAnt Supertooth Light Bluetooth Speakerphone (Black)

I'm on my second Supertooth Light because the catch on the extending mic (on/off switch) broke. I have come to find out from other reviews that this problem is too common. Having said that, I love the way it works - enough to ask for a replacement rather than a refund - but am holding my breath that this one will be more durable. I had a Motorola visor-clip bluetooth speakerphone prior to the BlueAnt. While it did not have any moving parts that can break, the sound quality using the BlueAnt is far superior on both ends. I feel I made a smart, informed choice with the BlueAnt, and that I got a good deal at the Amazon price of $69.

This product is great! Outstanding audio quality, battery life for talk time are the best I have seen. It is great to be able to pair the device to more then one phone. I put one in each of our cars. It's great to just jump in turn the unit on and it pairs to whatever phone you have in the car.

Works fine in the daylight. Unusable at night since the nonstop, blinking blue light right at the edge of the driver's field of vision is so annoying. I assume the designers were stoned when they decided that would be a good idea.

For those who do not want to hassle with a ear bluetooth while driving, the BlueAnt Supertooth is just the product to have. It installs easily; it gets clipped to your visor and connects, when on, to get incoming calls. I did have to return the first one I ordered because the on/off mechanism broke and I'm hoping the replacement will not have the same problem.

We purchased the BlueAnt Supertooth as a gift for my father in law. He is not very tech savvy so we wanted to get him something easy to use due to the new California laws requiring hands free driving. He had an older model razor phone which had some difficulty syncing with the blueant. Calls were intermittently dropped when trying to use the speakerphone with the older razor. When we tried to sync it with my husband's newer blackberry, the problems were resolved and the speakerphone worked great. Sound quality is exceptional and you hardly hear any background noise. The Blueant also requires no real installation so you don't have to mess with any of your stereo components. My father in law ended up upgrading his phone to a newer Nokia and has had no problems with it syncing with the Blueant. I would've given the product 5 stars but downgraded it to 4 just because of the initial syncing issues. Just make sure that your phone is compatible with the Blueant and it will save you some time.
