BlueAnt Supertooth Light Bluetooth Speakerphone (Black)

Great handsfree device for my Blackberry! Clips right onto the visor and allows me to drive and talk without being distracted. This unit is extremely easy to use and a great value for the money. Amazon had the best price!

We purchased 5 for our family. We have had issues with all of them.The speaker has went out on one so far. The mic will not stay in the off position on any of them we have only had them about 3 weeks. Blue Ant needs to do some thing to improve their quality.

The speaker is remarkably good on this unit, providing clear full sound. The microphone is adequate, requiring you to speak strongly (like you were in a play) to be heard well, but generally performs well. The part that I didn't like was the part that retains the microphone when you turn it off. It acts a bit like a ball point pen, you push the microphone in and it stays, turning the unit off. You push on it again and it pops out, turning the unit on. The problem is that when my car get hot, something inside warps and causes the unit to stick and not release the microphone to turn it on. If you tap it hard, the microphone will pop out, but then the mechanism will not hold when you try to push the microphone back in again to turn it off. I was able to successfully open the unit and remount the retainer mechanism back into place and it would work until it got hot again. Again, this is a good unit providing your car doesn't get too hot inside.

My wife had headsets that she kept loosing or breaking so we decided to try out something more stationary and so far so good.
The Supertooth Light Bluetooth Speakerphone from BlueAnt pairs up readily with both of our cells and has good clear sound for the user. Persons on the other end often report wind noise in an open car but the seems to be positional and in response to the aerodynamics of the car it is in. We have heard no issues in a closed car.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a stationary speakerphone.

The Blue Ant Speakerphone is an excellent alternative to the "Insert-in-Ear" hands free cell phone devices. I personally find the In-ear devices unpleasant and difficult to use. The Blue Ant Speakerphone works perfectly. Installation is simple. Operation is equally simple. Sound quality is better than my phone.
