Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Earpiece (Black)[Retail Packaged]

This is the best headset I've tried so far with my Blackberry. Its sound quality is awesome. I'm often on telecons which are notorious for variable volume and voice quality. While on other headsets where I've strained to hear some of the folks talking, this headset picks it all up while not also amplifying the car noise. On my Motorola, I'd have to turn the volume up to high to catch 50% of the conversation- with this one I keep it on low and only rarely do I need to bump it up to medium or high volume to hear what's being said. I also found the earpiece to be much more comfortable that full earbuds. The charger/carrying case is very nice looking and keeps it charged. It has the additional feature of being big enough to not lose easily (which is what happened to my last headset), while small enough to fit in a purse. The only con is that it is sometimes difficult to get the headset onto the little prong in the charger. Overall, great looking and awesome performance.

Before I bought the Plantronics Discovery 925, I poured over reviews for many Bluetooth earpieces. I had been wanting one for quite some time, but usually I would find one I liked the look of and it would get awful reviews.

I ran across the 925 and I loved the look and the reviews were pretty good, so I thought I would give it a try. I have not been disappointed at all. It paired with my Samsung Instinct quickly and easily and the sound quality is excellent and the people I have talked to with it have said I was coming through loud and clear. This earpiece is also quite comfortable even when I've worn it for 2 or 3 hours while doing other stuff.

In short, I love this earpiece. I'm glad I held out on getting one until this one came out.

I have the most problematic ears to fit! Even if earbuds or an earpiece fit, ultimately they hurt my ears in a short time. If anyone out there has ear pain from the Plantronics earpiece, they are likely placing them incorrectly. You have to have patience and turn them around inside your ear and don't ram them into your ears. They belong at the entrance of the ear canal.

The Plantronics Discovery 925 ($129 at Sprint) is pretty near perfect. Nobody on the other end had any idea that I was using a bluetooth headset. I love it while driving because the voice comes in as clear as a bell. I used the headset with my husband (he has a Plantronics and paid retail for his at Sprint) while biking together and the connection was great even during the windy day we had on Sunday in South Florida. We rode and didn't have to be in eye contact as usual or else we "lose" each other. We rode at our own pace and were able to communicate the entire time!

I used it while walking at a brisk pace, utilizing voice activated dialing today and kept the headset on the rest of the day without feeling any discomfort.

Cons: Its not so easy to know when its actually open and connected but I guess I'll get used to it after I practice more.

It looks more fragile than it really is, but once it's in the case its great. The Plantronics case now has a little lever that you press and the earpiece pops right of the case so you don't have to pull it out diagonally or struggle in order not to break the fragile connector.

What can I say except this product is great. No problems even after dropping it a few times.

The battery life is exceptional, sound quality is good and the fit and comfort are good. The recharging case has made travel much easier. I would recommend this product.
