Best bluetooth headset I've used...
I had the original Jawbone and just purchased the Jawbone 2 last week. I really like it - it fits well (I took the ear hook off), the sound quality is great, and it pairs very quickly with my iPhone.

So, here are my relatively minor complaints:

- I wish it used a universal charge plug. Though the charger does has a very slick magnetic attachment, I'd rather it just used a mini or even a micro usb plug so that I don't have to cart around an extra charge.

- I do find the button to talk button to be placed in an inconvenient spot. It's right where you fingers naturally go to adjust the headset for a better fit. So as you're trying to adjust, you often hang up on the call.

- This isn't an issue for me, but some people have complained about the lack of a volume button. Yes, you can turn off the noise reduction feature and then use that button for volume, but it would be better if there was a a rocker button or something on top.

The only other thing, and this isn't a negative so much as just something to think about - even though I feel like the jawbone 2 fits much better than the original, one of my colleagues feels exactly the opposite. So you might want to try it on before you purchase.

All in all though, I have to concur with CNET, which said that this headset is the best bluetooth headset they've reviewed and gave it an editor's choice.

Jawbone
This product does not work well. The audio is not good even with adjusting the earpiece. The pressure points on the device are too touchy and adjusting the volume is almost impossible. I am now attempting to return this item and would definitely not recommend it.

Works fine-some suggetsions
I have used the Jawbone2 for a few weeks and it works fine. Some comments:
- it is important to get the little button to touch your cheek, as the instructions say
- I needed to bend one of the earhooks to make it work for me. Now it's ok
- a positive for me is the need for only two buttons to operate it (both are hidden and separate enough from each other so you don't perform actions accidentally). Especially useful is the ability to change volume without fumbling for a "volume up" or "volume down" button
- the only negative I have found is that there is no way to turn it off "permanently". When you turn it off and put it in your pocket or briefcase to exit headset mode, the button to turn it on again can get activated accidentally by pressure in the pocket or briefcase. So you think you are not in headset mode and you are.

jawbone
over all the quality of the communication with Jawbone is great. However as in other reviews trying to get the best "fit" with the ear buds and ear hanger is difficult.

Great Headset.... if you get the right eargels
This headset is fantastic, but only if it stays on your head, and it stays in contact with your cheek. That is a real problem if you rely on the crappy earhook and rubber earpiece that Aliph provides. It is probably the reason for most of the poor reviews. For those who can make this headset actually stay on, they love it.
To address the fit issues that the standard earpiece accessories fail to do, I first tried jabra minigels. I was able to use the jawbone without the earhook, and I raked leaves with it on, no problem. So it seemed pretty good, but I found that the minigel irritated my ear canal after a day, and it did not always feel real stable.
I then ordered some eargels for the Plantronics Discovery 925 headset. THEY ARE PERFECT! Totally comfortable, channel the sound into my ear correctly, fit the jawbone 2 like a glove, and I can't shake the headset off no matter how hard I try. It keeps the jawbone firmly connected to my cheek no matter what I am doing.
I can't believe Aliph did not come up with this kind of solution. This is what the jawbone2 should have included. If you want the best Bluetooth headset solution out there, get the JB2, get the Plantronics gels, and throw out the earpiece junk from Aliph - you will never need it again.
