great theory, poor reality
I don't doubt that the Jawbone is great if you can get it to work. But for a busy person, it is unacceptably flawed. I have read people taking 4 hours to get theirs to work right. For an attorney making $200/hour, that's like paying $800 for a bluetooth headset. I returned this and went with the Plantronics Voyager 510--super cheap and works great! Gonna buy a second since they're so cheap. 2008-11-21

Major disappointment
I found this headset to be a major disappointment. Unlike other headsets I've owned, it won't stay paired to my Treo. The sound is inconsistent, and people have had significant problems hearing me on the streets of NYC. It's not the worst headset I've owned, but I'm already searching for a better solution. 2008-11-21

Love this headset!!!
This is the best headset I have ever used. It fits perfectly, it is easy to use and the sound is incredible. I would recommend it to everyone, especially to those that have had old type units that don't provide good sound or fit. In the past I have had trouble finding earsets that stay on, and this one fits like a glove. Bravo... 2008-11-20

Form over function
I have used a sub $30 jabra bt125 for the past year and have been very happy with its performance. My friends however would complain about the sound quality so I wanted something with noise cancellation. The jawbone has been unanimously the top pick from every source I can find. The ratings for this unit are either manufactured or provided by people who are more enamoured with the look than the functionality.
While others tell me that they can hear me fairly well, the audio I get is scratchy, and not very loud (using with iphone). The buttons are completely conceled and when I try to adjust the unit get inadvertently pressed, cutting people off. Trying to use the buttons is extremely awkward.
I am going to try the plantronics discovery 925 which a friend tells me is working very well for him.
I guess if you think the jawbone is too cool looking to pass up then be my guest but functionally this thing is a joke.

Excellent earpiece, but doesn't live up to expectations
When deciding to spend $100 on a BlueTooth earpiece, you have expectations that you wish to be met. While in large part this unit does what it says, it misses in one important area.
The "Noise Assassin" feature does not produce the dramatic reduction in noise that their marketing will have you believe. Their video demonstration of the unit shows a lady walking through a construction zone, turning on the noise assassin feature, and you can then only hear her voice.
My personal experience is nothing like that. It works fantastic in a quiet environment - better than any other I've used. It absolutely does filter out background noise...if it's not loud. In cases where I'm walking down busy city street, it doesn't appear to filter nearly as much background noise.
This product gets 4 out of 5 stars because I do like it a lot. When I'm driving in my car, it filters out all of the noise that other headsets do not. However, in a noisy environment it doesn't live up to the claims of the manufacturer.
Even so, I still recommend this unit. I don't think it's worth the manufacturer recommended $120, but if you can get it for $75-$90 I think it's a good deal.
